HMRC policy lead on the consultation for “notification of uncertain tax treatment by large businesses”. Additionally, responsible for all policy matters dealing with appeals and reviews.
A qualified accountant by profession.
Prior to focusing on policy matters, joined HMRC to work on the Tax Law Rewrite project, instructing Parliamentary Counsel on various corporation tax matters.
Before joining HMRC in 2006, worked in NZ Inland Revenue for 20+ years, both in a policy role and as a senior tax inspector.
