Rt Hon Pat McFadden MP, Shadow Economic Secretary

Pat McFadden.jpgPat McFadden was elected as MP for Wolverhampton South East in 2005. He was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary to the Cabinet Office in 2006, and later became Minister of State at the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform and remained Minister in its successor department, the Department of Business Innovation and Skills. In 2010, Pat was appointed Shadow Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills and September 2010 saw him return to the backbenches. Here, he was appointed to the Treasury Committee in 2011, and became Labour’s Shadow Minister for Europe in 2014, a position he held until 2016. He then sat on the Select Committee for Exiting the European Union. In April 2020, Pat was appointed Shadow Economic Secretary under Keir Starmer.
