2021 presents a unique combination of opportunities and challenges for the General Insurance industry. We need to respond to the commercial and operational demands of COVID-19, keep pace with the digital transformation of GI, manage the political change in an election year, and help Glasgow get ready to highlight the importance of insurance to a global audience in COP26.

The ABI’s General Insurance Scotland Seminar led by James Dalton and Alastair Ross in association with DAC Beachcroft will set out the objectives in our GI business plan and give ABI members and associate members the chance to gather to discuss these themes with us and inform the ABI’s approach to 2021.

Why register?

  • To understand and inform the ABI’s work to support and promote the General Insurance sector in Scotland.
  •  Hear from industry experts on the ABI GI business plan and the industry’s response to COVID-19.
  •  Learn about the opportunities for GI when the COP26 summit comes to Glasgow, and the implications of the Scottish Parliament election.
  •  Hear from experts in insurance as to what those developments mean for their business
  • Take advantage of 1 CPD hour at this CII accredited event

Confirmed speakers:

  • John Maillie, Regional Senior Partner, DAC Beachcroft LLP
  • James Dalton, Director, General Insurance Policy, ABI
  • Anna Krouskou, Senior Policy Adviser, Conduct Regulation, General Insurance Policy Issues, ABI
  • Alastair Ross, Assistant Director, Head of Public Policy (Scotland, Wales & NI), ABI
