Fiona Harris is an experienced leader in the UK health insurance market, with an exceptional record in transformation and commercial leadership. As Chief Finance Officer at BUPA Insurance Limited, Fiona’s responsibilities include business planning, financial and regulatory reporting, capital management, governance of financial risk and outsourcing, and cash and investment management for the UK’s largest health insurer, with 2.5 million customers worldwide.
Fiona is an executive member of the Bupa Insurance Board and Chair of the Investment Committee. As Director of Capital Management for the Group, Fiona led Bupa’s implementation of Solvency II and drove a material transformation of the Capital Management function.
Her wide experience includes sales, commercial and P&L roles beyond financial reporting and management. Fiona led Bupa’s 600-strong UK health insurance sales team to key business wins and as Head of Personal Markets she delivered a market leading transformation in medical underwriting and pricing.
Fiona is Chair of the ABI Health Committee, a Non-Executive Director of Lockton Companies LLP and a Director of the Bupa Pension Scheme Trustee. She has a Graduate Diploma in Statistics with Economics and Econometrics from The Royal Statistical Society.
