Helen leads the regulatory assurance function at WPA, a not-for-profit health insurer, that has been providing cover since 1901. The primary focus of her team is to provide assurance and advice to WPA on regulatory compliance, promote a conduct focused culture, and manage the implementation of regulatory initiatives, such as Consumer Duty.
Helen joined WPA in 2020 from NFU Mutual, where she initially focused on Prudential Risk and the Brexit transition, before going on to manage the GI Compliance Consultancy Team. Prior to this, Helen spent five years at Ecclesiastical Insurance Group in various roles, including managing the set-up of their regulatory outlook regime. She has a particular interest in conduct risk, pricing, and cross border business.
