Rachel is the Head of Group Statutory Reporting & Accounting Policy at QBE. She leads the Group’s external financial reporting and is responsible for monitoring potential accounting and reporting developments and assessing their potential impacts for the Group. She also leads the accounting policy stream of QBE’s IFRS 17 implementation programme and actively participates in local and international forums discussing IFRS 17 interpretation and application issues.
Rachel is a chartered accountant with over 10 years’ experience in the insurance sector, with a focus on general insurance. Prior to her role at QBE, she worked in Deloitte’s financial services audit practice in London and Sydney where she was heavily involved in supporting insurers in their implementation of IFRS 17.
