Dan advises insurance groups on tax issues. He has more than 15 years experience covering all aspects of the insurance and long-term savings sector, advising many of the largest groups in the UK in his current and previous roles. He has a focus on corporate tax, and extensive experience of policyholder tax issues. Dan joined Deloitte in Autumn 2021. Following his 2 ½ years at the ABI, Dan is well known across the insurance sector to HMRC, HMT and industry alike. His role at the ABI included shaping responses to consultations and representing the industry on key issues such as IFRS 17 and OECD Pillar Two.
