Elizabeth is Head of Tax at Royal London Group, having worked in the insurance industry for nearly 20 years in various reporting and compliance roles. Elizabeth specialised in life tax early in her career and has led the tax elements of:
- various acquisitions for Royal London,
- the implementation of Solvency II for the Group, and,
- systems transformation projects.
Elizabeth originally trained with Deloitte as an auditor working on a varied portfolio of clients ranging from bus companies to timeshare operators, but saw the light when a friend advised “Move to tax, you get paid more and work less hours!”. When not working Elizabeth is involved in the local folk music scene, playing recorders and English bagpipes. She plays in a medieval minstrels troupe and has also played in various ceilidh / dance bands over the years.
