Kitty Ussher, Chief Economist, Institute of Directors

Kitty Ussher.JPGKitty Ussher is a macroeconomist, public policy research professional and non-executive director. A former MP for Burnley, she was Economic Secretary to the Treasury during the financial crisis and subsequently a junior minister at the Department for Work and Pensions.  She previously ran her own company delivering public policy thought leadership projects for corporates and charities, and has also served on the FCA consumer panel.  She is currently a non-executive director for Revolut NewCo UK and the LGPS asset manager London CIV. From 2017-19 she undertook a sabbatical teaching GCSE maths in inner city schools on the Now Teach programme for senior professionals.
