Mervyn Skeet is Director of General Insurance Policy at the ABI. Mervyn has been with the ABI for more than five years and was previously Head of Tax and London Market.
Prior to joining the ABI in November 2017, Mervyn was Global Head of Tax and a Managing Director for the XL Group of companies. He has worked in the Insurance industry for more than 33 years and has significant leadership experience and knowledge of the General Insurance market.
Mervyn is an expert in international tax policy and its impact on the global insurance industry and has played a leading role in positively influencing the outcomes of the OECD work on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting.
Mervyn is a fellow of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has also held various financial positions at Chubb and the accountancy firm Moores Rowland
