Sophie joined Standard Life Aberdeen’s Internal Audit team in 2016 at 17 years of age as part of the Edinburgh Guarantee Scheme, a 6-month internship for school leavers. Within 3 months Sophie was offered a permanent role in the Quality Assurance Team where she developed and implemented a new approach to Data Quality Assurance. Sophie has now transitioned into an Auditor role within the Functions team and is studying towards becoming a Certified Internal Auditor. In 2017 Sophie was awarded the Chartered Institute of Internal Audit’s Best Newcomer and has since set up a Student Committee to support the Institutes Scotland Committee.
