ABI welcomes combustible materials ban

Responding to the news that the Government will announce a ban on combustible materials being used on the outside of high-rise residential buildings, schools, hospitals and care homes in England, Director General of the Association of British Insurers, Huw Evans, said:

“We welcome the ban on combustible materials in schools, hospitals, and care homes. We now need to include high-risk commercial premises in the ban, and update fire testing of building materials, to ensure that the Grenfell tragedy never happens again.”
