ABI statement on Grenfell Tower fire

ABI director general, Huw Evans, said

“Insurers have been doing everything they can over the last few days to help affected customers through this tragic and traumatic time. This includes identifying and contacting any customers in the area to offer immediate help and support, having representatives at the site, and making emergency payments where needed. They will be helping customers in every way they can in the difficult time ahead. Insurers will continue to work with those organisations on the ground, and if anyone is unsure as to who their contents insurer may be we will try and help them make contact through our membership.”
