Mervyn Skeet has been appointed Director of General Insurance Policy at the Association of British Insurers (ABI).
Mervyn joined the ABI in November 2017 as Assistant Director, Head of Tax and has been acting as Interim Director of GI Policy since December 2022, following the departure of James Dalton. Prior to joining the ABI, Mervyn was Managing Director at XL Group and Senior Vice President at Chubb.

He brings significant experience to the role and has already made demonstrable progress on a number of priority areas in the first quarter of the year.
