Rebecca Deegan
Assistant Director, Head of Protection & Health (maternity cover)
Rebecca Deegan is responsible for leading the ABI’s strategy and policy development on protection and health policy issues.
She spent 7 years working at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries across a breadth of insurance and pension issues. She headed up their Policy and Public Affairs Team and launched the IFoA’s policy work on intergenerational fairness, the Sustainable Development Goals and retirement adequacy goals. Rebecca has worked in a number of additional membership organisations in the health sector and creative industries supporting members to engage policymakers and influencers.
Rebecca also runs a not-for-profit (I have a voice) that equips young people, from all walks of life, with the tools and confidence to engage with policymaking on the issues that matter to them and their communities.
