Jason Richards

Jason Richards was appointed Country President and CEO UK & Ireland (UKI), effective 1 January 2022. As CEO UKI, he is responsible for driving profitable growth of the UK & Ireland reinsurance portfolio and continuing to strengthen Swiss Re's influence and position in the London market.

Jason brings 30 years' experience in the re/insurance business to the role and joined Swiss Re in 2006 as part of the GE Insurance Solutions acquisition. During his 12 years at GE, Jason held a number of leadership positions in across different parts of the business including underwriting, corporate development, finance, Six Sigma process improvement, technical accounting and claims. Having joined Swiss Re, Jason led the P&C Business Management area responsible for reserving, claims, technical accounting and run-off management. In 2017, Jason was appointed to his previous role as Global Head of Casualty. Where he was responsible for the underwriting of Casualty lines globally, as well as innovation and structured reinsurance across P&C.

Jason Richards was born in 1969 and is a British citizen. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Bath University, UK.
