Katy Murray & Chloe Tait

Diversity and Inclusion Campaigns Managers

Katy and Chloe work in a job share partnership leading Diversity and Inclusion campaigns for the ABI.

They have launched a new campaign, Making Flexible Work, which aims to increase flexible working in our industry and reduce the gender seniority gap. This project supports one strand of a wider D&I Strategy focused on flexible working, but also improving Black, Asian and minority ethnic diversity and social mobility in insurance and long-term savings. These areas of focus are based on feedback from members and the results of our annual Diversity Data Survey.

Katy and Chloe joined the ABI Advocacy and Communications team in 2019 and have a combined 30 years’ cross-sector experience in strategic communications, influencing stakeholders and delivering effective multi-channel campaigns.

At Defra and the Environment Agency, Katy worked in a job share partnership leading flood risk communications in England, including the annual Flood Action campaign. Prior to this she was Head of London 2012 Communications at The Royal Parks where she devised and delivered the communications strategy and successfully raised the profile of the organisation.

Before teaming up with Katy and joining the ABI, Chloe worked as a freelance communications consultant, which included leading the second stage of a brand awareness campaign for the British Chambers of Commerce. Prior to this, Chloe spent nine years at the charity Teach First where she established and led the Press, Public Affairs and Policy team and subsequently went on to lead the Brand and Audience Strategy team.
