Mark Shepherd

Mark Shepherd is Assistant Director, Head of Property, Commercial & Specialist Lines within the policy directorate. Mark has responsibility for leading the insurance industry’s policy positions on a range of issues including property, flooding, renewal pricing, and riots. Mark also co-ordinates the industry’s response to major incidents such as severe floods, storms or riots.  Mark joined the ABI in February 2013 from Stratagem, a Northern Ireland-based public affairs company where he spent six years as a Public Affairs Consultant advising organisations on lobbying and influencing legislation in Northern Ireland.

Mark previously studied International Relations at the University of St Andrews and also has an MLitt in International Political Thought.
