Mervyn Skeet

Mervyn Skeet is Director of General Insurance Policy at the ABI. Prior to joining the ABI in November 2017, Mervyn was Global Head of Tax and a Managing Director for the XL Group of companies.

Mervyn is an expert in international tax policy and is playing a leading role for the insurance industry in positively influencing the outcomes of the OECD work on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting. Previously, Mervyn held various tax and other financial positions at Chubb and the accountancy firm Moores Rowland.

Mervyn has worked in the Insurance industry for more than 33 years and is a former chair of the ABI Tax Strategy Committee.
